exertive ego

let me Be

let me Be

This post was written in response to my teenage son calling me ‘lazy.’ My ego wanted to rise up with the litany of “after all I do for you.” The reality is that he is learning and growing and he spoke without thinking. I am the adult and I did not like my instant angry response. So I dived into the word ‘lazy’ trying to understand and heal the trigger point. Society demands that everything and everyone be judged. What if we could all just ‘be’?
